Booma Grounds in Mbarara City Rings in New Year with Faith and Celebration.

Booma Grounds in Mbarara City, Uganda, transformed into a haven of faith and celebration as over 3000 people gathered for a memorable New Year overnight event themed “With Men This is Impossible, But With God All Things Are Possible,” inspired by Matthew 19:26. The event, organized by the Catholic community, featured spiritual guidance from prominent facilitators Rev. Fr. John Baptist Bashobora, Rev. Fr. Alexander Mwebembezi, and Rev. Fr. Anaclet Mugabe.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome from Rev. Fr. Didas Kasapuli, who emphasized the unity of humanity as children of God, regardless of religious affiliations. Declaring Booma Grounds as a “hill of love,” he set the tone for an evening of spiritual reflection and communal celebration.

 

Rev. Fr. Alexander Mwebembezi took the stage, delivering a message of victory and gratitude. He encouraged attendees to reflect on their achievements in 2023 and express thanks to God, believing that such gratitude would open doors of blessings in the coming year, 2024.

Following Fr. Mwebembezi, Rev. Fr. Anaclet Mugabe shared insightful advice, urging people to cultivate a habit of thanksgiving to open heavenly accounts. He stressed the importance of acknowledging and appreciating the divine blessings received, fostering a deeper connection with God.

Distinguished guest Dr. Edward Kazire addressed the crowd, emphasizing the power of prayer and hard work in achieving success. His words resonated with the audience, motivating them to embrace both spiritual and practical aspects of life.

 

The highlight of the night was the address by Rev. Fr. John Baptist Bashobora, who emphasized the importance of unwavering faith in God. His powerful message resonated with the crowd, inspiring them to approach the new year with confidence and trust in divine guidance.

As the clock struck midnight, the sky above Booma Grounds lit up with a spectacular fireworks display, marking the transition into 2024. The Catholic Mass commenced immediately after, providing a spiritual climax to the night’s festivities. The mass continued until 6:30 am on Monday morning, with participants leaving the event with a renewed sense of purpose and faith.

 

The New Year overnight event at Booma Grounds in Mbarara City not only brought together thousands in joyous celebration but also fostered a sense of unity, faith, and gratitude.
