Bishop Stuart University held its 18th graduation ceremony on Friday, March 24th 2023 and1661 students graduated with Diplomas, Degrees, Masters and PhDs. Of particular note was Dr. Donath Asiimire, who received her PhD and works as a lecturer at the university.
The Chief Guest Maama Janet Kataaha Museveni, the Minister of Education and Sports was represented by Hon. Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister for ICT, Communications, and National Guidance and a Member of Parliament for Kinkiizi East.
The graduation ceremony was commenced with a prayer service led by Chancellor Rt. Rev. Dr. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa, Bishop of Ankole Diocese, and the word of God was shared by Rev. Canon Edson Abaasa, Diocesan Secretary of the Ankole Diocese.
Additionally, the guest of honor and the Chancellor laid the foundation stone of the Science and Research Laboratory, a multi–story complex funded by the Government of Uganda in 2011.
The graduation ceremony was attended by a record number of people and concluded at 1:30 pm.
